For more than two decades, DANCE THEATRE NORTHWEST (DTN) has been providing ballet-based American contemporary and classical dance performance and dance education to economically and culturally diverse communities in the South Sound.
DTN is committed to making classical dance accessible to low-income families, at-risk youth, seniors and residents of sheltered living environments - preserving and presenting traditional arts and creating new interest in the arts throughout our area.
Our cultural arts stages and free ticket programs have provided the opportunity for thousands of school age children and adults to learn about and experience dance.
DTN has been honored by The Pierce County Arts Commission with the Margaret K. Williams Arts Award, has received numerous regional and national awards for excellence in dance, for community service, cultural diversity and for making a difference.
